    Description

Postcard sent to a German Army Medic NCO held as a POW at Fort Benning, Georgia from his Aunt living in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She is a nurse at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa and writes the letter in English. It is postmarked in Tulsa on July 9, 1945. She writes "thank God the European war is ended. Wish the Japan was over with too..." It is a letter of encouragement. Very unique letter written in English by two Germans, one an American Citizen and the other a POW and enemy combatant.
Interesting piece for a German WW2 POW collector or German WW2 collector / historian from Oklahoma
