PRE - WW2 GERMAN FLIEGERKORPS (FLYING CORPS) GLIDER WITH PILOT AND CO-PILOT. NAMED " AUGSBURG " (GERMANY)
ON ITS NOSE SIDE
AFTER THE GERMAN CITY BY THE SAME NAME. GLIDERS LIKE THESE WERE USED TO GIVE AVERAGE GERMANS THE ABILITY TO LEARN TO FLY THROUGH GROUPS LIKE THE FLIEGERKORPS. BEFORE AND DURING WW2 THESE SAME GLIDER PILOTS WERE A LARGE POOL FROM WHICH THE WW2 GERMAN LUFTWAFFE COULD CHOOSE THEIR PILOTS.
POSTALLY UNUSED.
CONDITION IS VERY FINE WITH SOME LIGHT HANDLING. THREE SPOTS ON THE REVERSE LEAVING A YELLOWING AREA ON THE FRONT IN THE SKY AND GRASS AREA NOT AFFECTING THE SUBJECT.
VERY GOOD FOCUS with VERY GOOD CONTRAST .
