    Superb, signed b&w 4X6 photo of Reinhard Hardegan, Cpt of U-147, and U-123.


    He won the KC on 1/23/42, and was the 89th recipient of the Oakleaves, on 4/23/42. His wartime tally shows 24 ships sunk, for a total tonnage of 18, 204. On Dec 9,1941, the US east coast was opened up to the U-Boats. Hardegan scored the 1st sinkings. Thus began Paukenschlag!
