    He received the following awards: Wound Badge in Black, Front Flying Clasp of the Luftwaffe with Pennant "1000",
    Combined Pilots-Observation Badge, Honour Goblet of the Luftwaffe, Kreta Cuffband, Iron Cfoss (1939) 1 & 2nd Class, German Cross in Gold.
