Description
ORIGINAL WWII PHOTO - ORIGINAL TO THE TIME - NOT A COPY, SCAN, OR REPROQUANTITY: 1 - See the other original WWI & WWII photos that I have listed.
ITEM: Original WWII Snapshot Photo taken from the GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE CRUISER EMDEN during the INVASION & OCCUPATION OF NORWAY, 1940. SHELLED NORWEGIAN COAST DEFENSE POSITION K17, Norway, 1940.
Photo is from a German officer of the Cruiser Emden from 1940-1941 during and around the Invasion and Occupation of Norway. The commanding officer of the Emden at the time was Kapitan Zur See Werner Lange (1893-1965), Knight's Cross. The photos were evidently taken by an officer not not just a crewman given that a crewman would not have been in a position to take some of the pictures.
